Broadcast Audience Research Council India is looking for a Manager, Business Development, to be based in Bangalore.
The ideal candidate will have:
About 8 years of work experience in either broadcast television or TV content organizations, having worked extensively with TV audience and Advertising Expenditure data. 
 
  •  A good understanding of media research, especially TV and Digital
  • Passionate about television media and advertising
  • Exposure to TV audience measurement systems/ data from TV meters
  • Strong on MS Office applications like Excel and PowerPoint as well proprietary software used in the media industry
  • Comfortable in working with large volumes of data and translating it into insight
  • Ability to manage client relationships in person as well as remotely
  • Train BARC India subscribers on use of software, interpretation of reports and media research concepts will be key. 
  • Familiarity with South Indian languages would be an advantage
Reporting to regional head of business development.

Job Description:
  • Overseeing and managing the Design, Quality Control and Analytics (DQ&A) Agency
  • Working with the DQ&A Agency in estimating universe size and its demographics
  • Ensuring proper research protocols in identifying potential panel homes, including verifying the primary and secondary variables for selection of panel homes verifying weights
  • Evaluating and confirming churn recommendations at pre-decided intervals with maintenance of proper protocols
  • Identifying and proactively addressing possible issues that may impact data; identifying the ‘why’ behind the ‘what’
  • Addressing data-related queries from subscribers, Board, Technical Committee and BARC Inida Management
  • Working on knowledge projects and papers for presentation with the Research Head

 

 

Candidate Profile:

  • Proficient at research design and analytics with reputed organisations
  • Knowledge of quantitative research techniques, statistics and analytics a must
  • Knowledge of SAS preferred
  • Experience between 4-10 years, although not a constraint for the right candidate

  • Ensuring proper research protocols in selecting, recruiting and managing the panel
  • Identifying necessary listing requirements and ensuring against unnecessary listing
  • Overseeing training of panel homes and proper compliance over time
  • Ensuring proper churn at pre-decided intervals
  • Ensuring complete confidentiality of panel homes by the Panel Management Agency

 

 

Candidate Profile:

  • Proficient at managing panel research with reputed organisations
  • TV panels management preferred, but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of quantitative research techniques a must
  • Experience between 4-10 years, although not a constraint for the right candidate
